KAZOO

is an award-winning, ad-free, indie magazine for girls aged 5 to 12 that celebrates them for being strong, smart, fierce and true to themselves. It's published quarterly in Brooklyn, New York and is sold all around the world.

It was the first children's magazine to be awarded the General Excellence by the National Magazine Awards in 2019.

I have been working with Erin Bried, the editor-in-chief, to illustrate the strong, smart and fierce girls introducing different areas of interest. As each issue sheds light on a number of women experts in various fields, I visualize them as kids in different outfits and poses based on their childhood photographs. These illustrations allow our young readers to bring them to life by coloring and decorating while learning about different career paths and interests.
